       Spirit communication

                                by Yvonne Crespo Limoges

During these frustrating, distressing (and for far too many) very desperate times, when external resources like food, shelter, employment, monetary funds, etc. are scarce and/or disappear, that is when one must seek support and sustenance from one’s inner spiritual resources.

It is to draw from within the soul the moral courage and strong willpower to help oneself (and for those in your care) to seek assistance and the means to survive the difficult circumstances of life.

God helps those who help themselves, and no one is given a heavier load than they can handle.

Therefore, one must have strong faith knowing that suffering has a just cause, that it helps one to learn and progress, that they are of a temporary nature in the long scheme of things (since our soul is eternal) and the use of inner spiritual resources helps one so as not to despair, to be resilient and to endure steadfastly with resignation whatever is necessary - with faith and hope from within one’s heart.

If all that supports a person are solely material things and if these are taken away, or if life hits one unexpectedly with something that impacts the

heart and soul (like the death of a close family member or friend), or by some other emotional event or a traumatic crisis occurs in their lives – spiritual resources are all they have left to sustain themselves.

This also applies to the ability to sustain oneself during the daily drudgery as well as the ups and downs of everyday life.

If one has not developed strong inner resources, that is when anxiety, depression, desperation can seep within the soul, and unfortunately for too many, suicide can appear to be the only way out.

That is why it is so important to constantly develop and nurture our inner spiritual resources.

By following: the inner voice of conscience; by fervent and sincere prayer; meditation; reading inspirational material; contemplating the spiritual realities of life; enjoying Nature’s beauty; taking the time to relax and still a busy mind; confiding in understanding receptive family, friends or spiritual advisors; and, being in communion with one’s spirit protector can provide spiritual beings with needed ongoing inner nourishment.

The stronger your inner resources, the easier you will be able to weather the struggles, tribulations, tests and missions of life.

Having a more calm and peaceful soul can allow one to much better support material life.

Life is change. Change is a constant factor of existence. The body and soul are always going through states of change, never the same from moment to moment. The body grows slowly and eventually dies. The soul has to undergo constant situations in which it can learn and grow to become better, in a vast number of ways, through reincarnation.

It takes everyone different amounts of time to reach different levels of knowledge, spirituality, and morality. It is always up to each spirit how long it takes to reach the next level. What takes a couple life times to learn for some, takes others far more life times, but there is always another chance for each soul to learn what they need to learn.

When looking at the world around keep all of the above in mind. Some souls may not show as much compassion, humility, generosity, and forgiveness as others. Perhaps, everyone may want things to change right now or soon, but it takes time for lessons to be learned. Remember that sometimes the only way to learn is by experience, for how does one learn the meaning of something they do not understand?

Spiritists know already that when some changes happen, it is meant to happen (freewill and law of cause and effect). Spiritists also know that everything done or not done, when the change occurs, matters more so then the actual change itself. There can be a smooth transition or there can be kicking and screaming all the way through, which one is always up to each person. These are the important things to remember about all changes that happen, be it personal to global.

For all those that have done everything and there is nothing else that can be done, there is always prayer. God only ever asks that we try our very best through each and every moment, if not, there's always another chance to get it right.

However, there is never a moment we go through alone. Our loved ones and spirit guides are always there helping us.

Sometimes, all of life’s demands, distractions, and changes lead us away from thoughts of prayer.

Pray for those who seem to be having a harder time through things than everyone else. Pray for the world to get through difficult times can also help things.

Remember, that our guides and loved ones are waiting for us to ask for their help, through even the most devastating and constant changes!

We are all stressed out at times but the more we read, learn and practice… the more we will face material challenges with ease.

Important aspects of life are those you cannot touch; like the happiness of your child, the good memories of your life. Wouldn't it be better to carry and take those happy memories with you?

You cannot take material objects with you [to the spirit world].

Who would want to keep with them memories of jealousy, sadness, fear or hate?

Create memories you want to keep with you, and focus on what is truly important in your existence.

Remember always this one life is simply a small fraction of your time [as a spirit].

Let us never close our hearts even in the company of difficult people. We can prayerfully request spiritual strength and protective assistance within any disharmonious situations. Prayers are heard and the good spirits draw close to strengthen and support well-intentioned needs. All people possess the inner strength that can remain unaffected by others by choice of reaction.

Keep an open heart. There are already chronic problems, especially in these difficult times with many people who hold closed hearts due to ill-gotten perceptions, trauma, or a myriad of other circumstances. The greatest help that we can be is to maintain an open heart of compassion and love that leads by example. Teach love.

Like an ancient column, stay upright and strong, regardless if things seem to be crumbling around you. You are all stronger than you know, and you can realize the magnitude of this when turning inward toward your faith of supportive spiritual truths.

May you always have more faith than fear in knowing that every occurrence is allowed to enable betterment by the Creator.

There will be peace in the world, when we have the teachings of Jesus in our minds and hearts…!

We all possess ego and we are all individually different by our propensities, experiences, and abilities. Our egos strive for recognition as unique, special, and separate from all others.

Yet, let us not allow our egos to dominate over the truth of what we should aspire to - loving human beings.

The physical body as our spirit's vessel is to be healthily cared but its appearance is superficial just as are possessions owned and personal status.

Greater benefit within one's life occurs when attention is placed upon quietening the ego, to rise above toward what is most meaningful, reaching our higher spiritual potentials.

The Food and Drug Administration will be evaluating COVID-19 vaccines submitted by drug companies that have shown a high level of effectiveness. The speed at which these vaccines have been developed is unprecedented.

Emergency authorization are being requested so the vaccine can be used for medical workers and others at high risk. It appears vaccines would not be available to the general public until sometime in 2021. They cannot be ready soon enough!

Science workers through inspiration, hard work and dedication have brought us some HOPE

Thank God!

                (11/10/1835- 04/29/1909)

I have translated and copyrighted all 42 stories by Ms. Soler from Spain, obtained from her magazine Luz del Porvenir [Light of the Future) that were compiled into chapters for a Spanish book entitled - Hechos que Prueban in Spanish. I have entitled my English translation as:

                        Acts that Prove –

                 Causes of Human Suffering

       From the Perspective of Reincarnation

I am currently exploring my publishing options and hope to have it out soon in 2021.

In the book, Ms. Soler asks the spirits why certain people have terrible experiences in their lives of which no reason can be found in their present life. Father Germain, the spirit guide of her works (his life story was dictated to Ms. Soler and translated into English by Edgar Crespo - Memoirs of Father Germain) responds to many of her questions via the unconscious medium Eudaldo at the Spiritist Center she attended, but it appears some anonymous others do as well. Their responses are frank and very enlightening.

THIS AND THAT   By Yvonne C. Limoges

Die alone, never! Those who think some people are dying alone of COVID without seeing their relatives most likely have already said their “goodbyes” in the spirit world (the spirit’s relatives visiting the sick while their bodies slept); besides spirit guides are with those who are sick, especially as they prepare for their return home!

TV Program – On Grey’s Anatomy, a patient sick with COVID is shown dropping in and out of consciousness, during these times she sees her deceased husband. And, he says he will wait for her. Yes, our spirit can visit those whom we love who have already made their transition during sleep and/or sickness. So wonderful this is shown for the masses to think about!

We have so many about us who love us! – As I walked into the room, I immediately saw very clearly a short elderly woman with her arms wrapped around my son’s friend. It was a spirit. She then caressed the top of his head and said to me, “I am his Grandmother and I love him very much. I am always with him.” I felt powerful energy filled with so much love radiating from her. I relayed what I saw to him and he smiled; he knew my belief system. Later on, my son told me, he said he was very close to his Grandma who always took care of him when he was young. Never doubt we have so many who love us!

Facing suffering with dignity, drawing on its lessons, is one of the greatest challenges facing human beings…but when it appears, it fulfills an extraordinary therapeutic function.

Great avatars [morally superior spirits] that have passed through humanity were not exempt from it. However, they were able to face it with enormous strength and wisdom, serving as an example and inspiration for all, in different times…

Suffering is part of our evolutionary process, it is everywhere and it touches everyone in one way or another. Spiritual knowledge tells us that we live in a world that is still in the tests and atonement phase, which means that happiness is not a general common denominator; not even in the best cases one is in a position to know happiness in its true fullness. There are moments, flashes that sooner or later pass, like all things that happen on Earth.

Everything is temporary except the baggage of acquired experiences, as well as the conquests of an intellectual and moral character that elevate the being and ennoble it...

Pride and selfishness desensitize the being, make it hostile; these incapacitate it to feel empathy towards his fellow men. An attitude towards life that generates dissatisfaction and unease wherever it goes.

Suffering, however, bathes the proud, the despot, the aggressive with reality, since it shows him, his vulnerability and fragility, softening the armor he considered insurmountable, making him more sensitive, receptive to the environment…

Love is still today the great unknown of human beings in their current evolutionary journey. Some progress has been made but…still far from the achievements that would be desirable, where the ideal of love transformed into brotherhood and solidarity was extended to all peoples.

Afflictions, therefore, fulfill the sacred mission of redirecting us, of restoring the damaged or abandoned bridges that connected us with the Divine…

For this, it is necessary to travel a long path of experiences, of tests, throughout the different physical existences as a means to elevate ourselves; having to overcome, in the current stage, the ancestral primitivism that still keeps us behind and prevents us from advancing with a certain clarity and speed…

A clear sign of spiritual inferiority are the detrimental reactions that arise when suffering and setbacks appear. These are the different stages of a process that is not yet ripe to accept or assimilate, both in the small things and in those of great importance for the human being.

Let us remember the five phases that Dr. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross tells us about…that she observed… after having spent many hours with terminal patients in hospitals [applying it to our reactions towards our suffering]:

In the first place, denial, or inability to accept reality: “This cannot be happening to me, it is not possible.”

Secondly, anger, or what is almost the same, the violent rejection of the new situation: “I don't deserve this, I have many things to do yet.”

Third, negotiation, that is, reviving spiritual beliefs, many times dormant and forgotten until that moment, to [try to] agree to a graceful way out of the situation.

In fourth place, depression, which is when the problem overflows and shows the vulnerabilities of the being, and its inability to control it, generating a fall in self-esteem and modifying the idealized perception that it had of itself and its environment.

And finally, when a serene analysis of the situation has been made, after having gone through the different stages mentioned above, that is when the final acceptance arises.

Therefore, faced with the adverse circumstances of life, the human being must learn to overcome them by putting all its own effort, but with acceptance, since what happens is part of its learning, of the baggage of experiences that is to allow it to grow exponentially.

On the contrary, the only thing that rebellion achieves is to complicate and increase the burden that is already heavy… wasting uselessly, the forces that could be harnessed to compensate and grow.

Many times we talk about success, about people who manage to achieve the greatest achievements, keeping the superficial, striking image; the tip of the iceberg. But the gigantic part of struggles and sacrifices that the ocean hides in private is ignored; of failures, of difficult situations that have been overcome with great difficulty to achieve the desired goals.

However, do not be confused or deceived.

Acceptance does not mean blind resignation, or the fanaticism of thinking that in the face of “God's will, nothing can be done,” since the ultimate Will is not known, and that to avoid this fatalistic circumstance, the human being was endowed with discernment and of freewill, true levers of progress. Or, put another way: suffering just for suffering, without putting in the means to avoid it, leads nowhere…

For all this, and to conclude the purpose of life is progress, through uplifting achievements, building in order to grow.

What happens is that the being is cyclically subjected to “internal reforms,” as if it were an old house that requires pending repairs, improvements that allow better habitability, so that it adapts to the needs that the inhabitant needs.

We are talking about the home, but the interior home, the psychological and transcendent one, the one [the spirt] that provides enough stability so that neither inclement weather nor external circumstances disturb it to the point of causing a total or partial collapse.

Finally, [the idea is to] transmute suffering into experiences rich in wisdom and values, allowing the being [the spirit] to grow, free itself from the dark past, and walk freely and unattached towards the light of understanding and of real peace; that peace which is the consequence of no negative obligations and of a clean conscience.
