HOPE - A FORCE IN
LIFE
Written by Gloria Quel
Faith is the confidence that man has in his destiny;
having a reasoned faith illuminates the path we have to travel and gives us the
will and strength necessary to overcome even the biggest obstacles that we may
find throughout our journey on earth.
Hope is a feeling that drives the spirit in what we
desire or aspire to, and it seems possible to achieve.
Hope, often serves as a moral support to not fall into discouragement, not lose serenity, or lose sight of what we want to achieve.
Hope is one of the most positive and constructive feelings that a human being can have. It helps us to walk the path that we have laid out living in the material world, with patience and trust.
In today's society, with so much technology, where we live so fast there is little room for hope; where all we want is achieved by pushing a button, getting it quickly, having the sensation that time passes very quickly and you have to take advantage of it to get the things we need or want. Establishing superficial relationships that do not fulfill us, without valuing everything we have and what surrounds us.
At the moment something fails, when the plans do not go as we wanted, we get pessimistic, have doubts, even despair growing within us. [There is] skepticism, because if you wait for nothing…there is no deception possible.
The thing to understand is that it is not awful to fall in the struggle, but, it is…in not being able to stand up and try again. Our life is imperfect, because we are imperfect, and we have much work to do perfecting ourselves.
Always take a first step to reach the end of the path we have drawn, and those steps are better with discipline and will, to avoid irresponsibility that can cause us not have clear ideas of where we want to arrive.
Discipline is responsible for the success of all
high achievements, the will being the motor that helps us to carry them out…
Faith and hope have a common goal, belief in
something that is not with the physical senses…
Hope is born of faith, of faith in God and the love
that goes growing within each of us. This love awakens the belief that God is
there...

LIFE OBSERVATIONS
Written by Yvonne Crespo Limoges
Valentine’s Day:
I happened to go to the grocery store right on Valentine’s Day. I saw so
many people swiftly scrambling around (men mostly) to buy cards, candy and/or
flowers; many carrying armfuls of all three of these items. There were mad
dashes here and there.
How nice I thought, and I smiled. I love receiving cards and flowers, as
do most others.
For some of those people giving, it may be the only way and time they are
capable of showing caring and appreciation for people in their lives.
However, many people do NOT receive anything on Valentine’s Day.
Yet, there are many who care and think about us, although invisible… our
spirit guides, family and friends in the spirit world that all send loving
vibrations to comfort and ease those with heavy hearts in this world full of
sorrow. Don’t forget we are ALL loved more than we know!
Good Times vs. Bad:
I asked a man in his late 80s (one I have known for years who has and
still suffers much) the following, “As you look back on your life, do you
remember mostly the good times or the bad?”
He thought only a few seconds and said he remembers the “good times”
more. Then, upon more reflection, he said, “I guess we try to forget the bad.”
I was relieved and comforted. How wonderful and blessed that he feels this
way, especially at this stage of his material life!
Desperation:
Working over 20 years at the Social Security Administration, I witnessed
close up much human misfortune and suffering. One day, an upset co-worker said
they could not understand how people could end up in such desperate situations.
Another co-worker and I explained
by saying: Even when people have done what they possibly could do to help
themselves…An employee gets hurt or is sick, they lose their job and can’t pay
rent or mortgage so are now homeless. They can’t pay their health insurance so
no more medical care or medicine. They can’t pay car insurance so can’t legally
drive. They use up all their savings, sell everything they own in order to eat.
Not able to pay bills, their bank account closes and credit history destroyed.
Maybe one person in the family can work, but for various reasons they don’t get
hired right away. They may have no relatives to help them. They are unable to
qualify for food stamps, Medicaid, unemployment or disability benefits due to certain rules. Food pantries and
charities only go so far…Yes, these desperate situations actually exist all
around us.
Quite a few of us in the office would personally help some of these
people out of our own pockets.
In the end, our co-worker finally understood…
Remember, Jesus said, “Judge
not, that ye not be judged.” (Bible, Matthew 7:1-3)
POVERTY
“Poverty is the worst form of violence.”
Mahatma Gandhi
“When a poor person dies of hunger, it has not happened because God did
not take care of him or her. It has happened because neither you or I wanted to
give that person what he or she needed.” Mother Teresa
UPON RETURN TO
THE SPIRIT WORLD
The spirit
of Father Germain said:
“You are mistaken in believing that when you leave
your material envelope [physical body] you will look at the Earth with horror.”
“As you will take some time to leave that planet,
and know you will have taken advantage of the time there in your progression,
you will receive a good dose of reflection. You can be sure to look at the world,
where you have suffered so much, with true affection, and you will even travel
in spirit to all the places where you were overwhelmed under the weight of your
cross [trials and struggles], and feel that public works have destroyed the
humble dwellings where you had lived, where you had quenched your thirst with
your tears.”
(Excerpt from a true story in the book La Luz de La Verdad [The Light of Truth]
by Amalia Domingo Soler a famous Spiritist poet and author from Spain. She
received many wise messages from Father Germain. Article translated by Yvonne

EDITOR’s COMMENT:
This spirit message given to Ms. Soler reminds me of what people even do when
living in the material world.
We have all lived several places (in different houses, towns, states,
countries, etc.) throughout our life. Later on, some of us decide to go back to
see all the old places we have spent time. At times, the houses or buildings we
lived in are still there, sometimes not. We find other structures have been
built in their place. In addition, for many of us, it doesn’t matter whether we
had good or bad memories, we go back for different reasons, like: curiosity, reflection,
for sentimentality, to face fears, to reminisce, and other reasons. As we can
see, many spirits return to do the same thing after they have left this Earth.

WORLD CANCER DAY
– FEBRUARY 4th
Written by Yvonne Crespo Limoges
My uncle, father-in-law and my husband died relatively young of different
types of cancer so this specific disease is personal for me. The disease’s
progression is devastating to the patient, and absolutely heart-breaking for their
loved ones.
In the 2016/2017 Winter Issue of Cancer
Today magazine there are two important articles.
The first one states that the more alcohol one drinks based on a wide
range of medical studies, the higher one’s risk for 7 types of cancers.
The second article states that the World Health Organization’s
International Agency for Research on Cancer has determined there is sufficient
evidence that excess body weight (or BMI) increases a person’s risk for 8 types
of cancer, now up from 5 types.
Please know your risks! Eat and drink wisely.
SOLAR SYSTEM WITH
MANY WORLDS!
Written by Yvonne Crespo
Limoges
NASA just announced the discovery of a solar system
that has 7 planets and 3 of them have a strong possibility of having water and
organic life. This type of information has already been transmitted to us by
the spirit world. The spirits also tell us that there is intelligent life on
other worlds as well, although we have
yet to discover it.
The spirits say there are generally five basic categories of planets: the primitive worlds, worlds of tests and atonements, regenerating worlds, blessed worlds, and celestial worlds. Our earth has already transformed from a primitive world to one of tests and atonements where misery, evil, and violence still abound. We will eventually progress into a world of regeneration where the majority of the spirits will be striving to be only good, and where evil will not predominate.

NATURAL LAWS AT
WORK
Written by Julie
L. Harper
The spirit world is teaming with good and adverse spirits, many of which
reach out to humans to exert their influences. And, natural magnetic
attraction, by the law of attraction, will consequent in like spirits seconding
one's intent or attitude toward a like result.
So, just as good spirits attempt to influence beneficial behaviors,
wrongful spirits attempt to influence detrimental action. The good
spirits selflessly desire to promote betterment within another's life, while
spirits of ill intent hold ulterior motives to gain pleasure from encouraging
and influencing unusual or wrongful thoughts and/or action. All-in-all, humans
have many distractions and influences by both worldly and spiritual influences.
One must be vigilant to maintain good character.
Some undesirable spirits are attracted to humans who share a negative
tendency and then promote such activity. For example, a spirit who was an
alcoholic during earthly life may be attracted to a human who has the tendency
to drink. That spirit takes pleasure in influencing their own former habit of
excessive drinking [just one example].
Whereas, some spirits seek to influence poor behavior with the intent of
creating a result of a bad outcome in order to cause unhappiness and hardship.
Such spirit may be malevolent, or one that is seeking revenge from believing
that the targeted human caused it injustice during a period of time while both
were incarnated. There is a myriad of differing spirits with different wrongful
intents.
When you pray, and hold fast to conviction of a high moral integrity,
your thoughts and actions will follow accordingly and create favorable results.
Be ever so mindful of whether your thoughts are true to your integrity to
avoid wrongful influences and the taking of action that is not consistent with
your personal character.
Further, each individual must atone for all wrongfulness, whether within
a current life or in a future one, as mandated by the law of progress. In that,
it behooves everyone to strive to be the best person possible.
More importantly, God has instilled within us the duty to be loving and
just. God's natural and universal laws are set in place to guide us in the
direction of goodness through the mandate of appropriate consequence for each
thought, word or deed. Overall, when in the sentiment of goodness, it is an
easier path of progression.
FOR THOSE WHO
SUFFER
Spirit communication
received by Alysia Pape
To those of you going through life and suffering well, know that you are
not alone.
Your spirit guide and good spirits are all with you. They encourage you
every day and pray for you; they want you to succeed in becoming a better soul
in every way. You only need to make every possible effort, pray for God's help
and their help, and do not fall off of the good path you have started down.
Should you fall, pick yourself up and try again. God only asks that we do
our very best.
