Life is full of ups and downs, and so many tend to focus solely on the downs. We should have faith that in God’s perfect timing, sooner or later, maybe just around the corner of our life, maybe today, tomorrow, a week, a month...some major good or goodness will come our way.

It can happen so suddenly, you will find yourself astounded that your life may change so completely.

Meanwhile, we can never lose hope. We have to sustain ourselves with moral courage and know that God and our spirit guides watch over us.

We receive good things in our life when and if we deserve it.

We have to remember that we have to be ready in every possible way as well, for when that “good thing” may occur. If it came before we were actually ready to receive it, things might not turn out as well.

We must fight off despondency. We cannot become impatient, bitter or resentful. This only attracts negativity and can become a great obstacle preventing the very good thing from actually happening or coming to us.

Pray, for it is always a great comfort and provides solace during all life’s tests and trials. But, live being a good person one day at a time, leaving the rest of what happens in your life in God’s most capable Hands according to the Divine laws. So be it.

Spirit communication received by Yvonne C. Limoges

Every day there are challenges and opportunities and we should try to face them with as positive an attitude as we can to overcome and take advantage of them.

Remember, the Divine laws come from a place of LOVE. The purpose of that love is to help us to learn, grow, progress, and advance and evolve.

No matter what we are going through it can have a positive impact on our souls if we undergo it all well and with a positive attitude.

Struggling through life with a negative mindset day-by-day causes the soul to lose out on the many benefits of material life and causes the ordeals we go through to feel worse then what they in truth are. Negativity sickens the soul.

Lift your thoughts to the Creator for that Divine Light of inspiration and guidance you may need; for God wants you to be strong and to succeed in advancing in your life, no matter the circumstances.

The search for happiness is inherent within all souls. We seek it incessantly and profoundly, but we must also earn it. Positive thoughts attract positive ideas, people and as well as bring about wonderful circumstances.

In reality, the soul seeks a happiness towards a permanent higher morality and spirituality, which is not found in anything of the material which is only temporary.

A positive outlook in the face of life with all it adversities brings progress and eventually provides all souls with the truest and purest of happiness.

Following the course of our Spiritist philosophy, fruitful source of inspiration where human intelligence can be delivered without any suspicion to the study of things, we will make some comments on that fatal epidemic that harms humanity and of what the great thinkers and sage philosophers gave the name of fanaticism, or obstruction of intelligence.

Fanaticism, in its true sense, is hallucination of the spirit, too much credulity in everything, moral poverty, a poisonous atmosphere, relaxed customs, a veil that obscures reason, a prison where the groaning spirit is held captive without moral and intellectual development, no light, no air, no life, no more future than error, without horizon than of shadows and without much extension than a small circle of habit or obsession without limits.

In all faiths there are great truths and absurd errors:  one now solely needs to distinguish one from the other. The spirit that has acquired great progress has greater intellectual development and therefore more knowledge to pick the good and reject what does not conform to goodness and harmony. But, the unfortunate man whose inactivity in progressing…has a weakened intelligence and is submerged in a chaos of concern and errors [does] not have the necessary discernment to separate truth from falsehood, or right from wrong. And, fanaticism prevailing in him, subdues him, has him handcuffed, and erases from his intelligence the light of reason, converting him into a habitual and uncompromising being even within the most real and positive developments.

What a pity to watch a crowd of beings go with a collection of phrases dictated by spirits as backward as them, without stopping to find out the degrees of truth or falsehoods they contain. Seeing them swept away by the strong current of superstition and stuck to the shadows; awkward persons consumed with the sterile activity of their souls without the power to remove the thick bandage that blinds them.

We've said it before and never tire of repeating: fanaticism is a chronic evil on Earth; many centuries of progress are needed for its complete extermination. It is the constant aid of error, that subjugating the overly credulous spirits, leading them towards impotence [in fulfilling anything] for good and for compliance of the most recommended duties; here are often born discord in families and the relaxation of loving and social ties.

Where adherence to a belief becomes fanaticism, it is not possible for reasoned discussion, because blind fanaticism and discussion degenerates into immoral arguing. And do not think our readers that we refer to a single belief, but we refer to all, not excepting ours; because in all there are thousands of fanatics that discredit it and hinder its progress.

There are two kinds of fanatics: the learned and the ignorant. The former is much more formidable; while leaning on his education he represents a more important role in society in their instruction and a more active influence. An Aristotle or Seneca grows, and no one is able to make them desist from their concerns and constant obstinacy; that is, their discussions are intransigent, there reason is a contradiction in terms, and overbearing with others who they judge lower. Pride dominates them at such a high level, they do not want to be counseled, but be counselors; they do not believe they are sick due to their intelligence, but with their very deep knowledge believe to prescribe to All Humanity. And, their recipes are an active poison falling on ill and ignorant intelligences; those who have to believe every imaginable absurdity and implement so many errors, creating the backwardness of certain spirits. Thus one, thanks to his false wisdom, spreads confusion, and the others, victims of their ignorance and credulity, form the bulk of the army of fanaticism, always ready to repel any regenerative force and progressive idea.

From fanaticism is born intolerance, and from it disorder and hence the great social imbalance and the continuing struggles that over time has come to be the scourge of humanity. Fanaticism is the detractor of progress, the sarcasm of religions and the oppressor of intelligence. Us Spiritists love reason, for it is the daughter of truth; and the truth is a pure flash of infinite love. We love infinite progress; because of it we come to Earth. And, we detest fanaticism because it is opposed to civilization, moral and intellectual development, truth and light.

Spiritual laws cause God’s blessings to exist within every circumstance by perfect design and perfect order.

Gratitude allows realization of blessings even during difficult times.

Hidden blessings become revealed to those who seek.

Ye who seek may not receive, when holding doubt.

Know thy will and goodness is lovingly done.

Keep the faith! Blessed be.

In everyone's life come trials and challenges.
Some hardships are past-life retributions, while some are due to recent acts.

In-any-case, difficulties may cause a heavy heart, discouragement, hopelessness, or other unhappy sentiments.

Remember that each of us has spiritual assistance by our spirit guides.

Also, strength comes by the fortitude of one's faith.

And, remember to be kind to ease the pain of others. For your compassion conveys a human bond via kindness. Often times a heavy heart is lifted just in the knowing that someone else cares.

Charity and self-sacrifice is to do something or help someone without wanting anything in return, even a simple “thank you.”

If you hold a door open for someone, or help someone with a task they could not otherwise do, such as yard work, a car repair, or take someone to buy groceries is a charity.

However, these kinds of gestures should not be thought of as a debt, but something given as a gift with no thought of getting anything in return.

The Creator is the one that tallies all that everyone does, be it good or bad. And, it is the Creator that will decide if you get anything at all. [We reap what we sow according to the Divine laws]

Think of all the wonderful things you could do for others and not expect something in return, no matter how small. To do kind things for goodness sake, is the best self-sacrifice!

A smile, a thank you, tell someone to have a good day, help someone do something they can’t normally do, lift something heavy for Grandma, take your Mom or Dad out someplace they like, cut someone’s hedges with permission if you know they have trouble.

No matter how small, do something nice without expecting anything, or put classically “do unto others as you would have others do unto to you.”

... Having faith, confidence and optimism can hinder our pain...

                    Written by Antonio Lledó Flor

...Progress is the law of life, and when we come to earth, we come with a program to progress, with work to be performed. This planning is derived from our previous moral level, and is conditioned by our evolutionary necessity.

If we are primitive and backward beings, we are mostly dominated by instinct; we behave at the mercy of our biological needs, primary emotions (fear, anger, etc.) our actions are guided as occurs in animals, leaving very little room for cognition and reasoning. Man, as he advances in intelligence and moral sense reaches greater awareness of the reality and truth of the world around him, and builds evolutionary experiences life after lifetime.

In each new opportunity that the law of rebirth offers and proposes new challenges, new conquests to raise our intelligence, to fortify our will and develop our moral sense. Unfortunately, all this is conditioned by our spiritual level, and therefore, as we are still dominated by imperfection, so failures manifest in every lifetime, every time.

The great thing about the law of progress is that we can correct the wrongs, redeem the debts of our past through making amends and reparation, learning valuable life lessons that are indelibly etched like streaks of light marked forever on our immortal spirit.

Understanding this, we value life as something extraordinary, not only because of the immortality of the spirit, but the many experiences that have come and gone, again and again, in different bodies to assimilate many experiences and to test ourselves. And besides, all those experiences with different bodies... the spirit, one and unique, our individuality remains throughout the millennia....

The chain of solidarity and progress in the spiritual world is extraordinary...the spiritual plane that surrounds our planet is an entire epic of activity, planning, support, assistance, preparation, solidarity and charity. All [spirits] work an event where those who are there, are collaborating in the evolution of the planet and humanity, actively working and trying to help people who need it...
In it all, are those involved who have already passed the fairly primitive condition, and despite their imperfections, understand the need for collaboration and selfless help to ensure their spiritual advancement.

When we forget and do not work on what our conscience tells us, we lose the moral sense, forget the discernment between good and evil, and let go for comfort or passions without evaluating it; that which has merit requires effort...

Personal growth, intellectual and moral progress calls for renunciation and sacrifice, the cost of achieving higher levels of fulfillment and happiness tomorrow, and a greater sense of inner balance and peace today.

We are the masters of our destiny and as such, created free and ignorant, we are responsible for our own actions, and heaven and hell live within ourselves, and are states of consciousness that warn us of our true evolutionary situation.

This is the path of the spiritual evolution of mankind. A road that never stops...We are endowed with free will and volition, both on earth and in space, but the laws of cause and effect and the perfect divine justice “to each according to his works” [applies].There are no privileges.

Fight for moving up; progress and happiness accompany our daily acts with good intentions, noble thoughts, and selfless acts of service to others. If we do collaborate with the inevitable law of progress we will be closer to fulfilling the spiritually pre-planned incarnation which is our roadmap in this existence. A   path freely and voluntarily accepted, understood and laid out for our real need of moral and intellectual growth.
