Spirit communication received by Yvonne Crespo Limoges

One can look at life solely as a series of sorrowful struggles, OR as challenges to overcome whose purpose is to strengthen and advance your soul.

We are well aware there is anguish, heartache and pain on your world, and many also experience boredom, worthlessness and indifference.

And, for those whose loved ones already have arrived in the spirit world, rest assured the bonds of true love cannot be broken. They remember you, as you remember them. So therefore, be consoled.

However, all must try to continue forward, focused on your every day responsibilities and living the best you can in the material world.

Try not to become angry, discouraged, frustrated, indifferent or bored.

Each of you is on earth right now for specific purposes, whether you feel that way or not.

So, pray to face each day anew with strong faith and moral courage.

Try to foster within yourself a relative inner peace that is not so easily disrupted by the constant disturbances and conflicts of everyday life.

Try to find some joyful moments, in as many things as you can, as often as you can.

Thank God for the many blessings that you have; for there are always those in less fortunate circumstances; for we are talking to you – those who don’t live in such miserable conditions such as war zones, in abject poverty or other wretched conditions like so many on your planet.

So, try to be strong during your existence on earth, for each material life is extremely short.
We help you from our side as much as we can.

This way you can come home to us in the spirit world, after successfully having carried out to the best of your ability, all that you had agreed to accomplish upon the earth.

Hopefully, your hard earned efforts will have merited you many moral victories and you will have made much atonement.

Our great compassion, mercy and love, patiently await your return at the appropriate time!

A Spiritist meeting/session is a “collective being whose qualities and properties are the result of the totality of its members” as described in The Mediums’ Book, Chapter XXIX published by Allan Kardec.

An Instructive Meeting provides research and study of Spiritism; its doctrine and instruction regarding its morality.

Qualities of an Instructive Spiritist Meeting

- A serious and concentrated mind

- A perfect community of views and sentiments

- Kindly feelings among the members

- Abnegation of every sentiment contrary to charity

- A general desire of the truth

- Exclusion from the setting of everything of frivolity

- Concentration of thought and desire in the pursuit of the common end and in the evocation of the spirits whose presence is desired

- Cooperation of the mediums, with the disinterested desire to be useful, without vanity, ambition, or any other selfish motive

(A summary compiled from Kardec’s The Mediums’ Book.)

The average person believes in only one material lifetime, and many of these generally live it through material acquisitions and physical enjoyments. This type of life style which surrounds all us Spiritists permeates our culture and can be so overwhelming and tempting.

We must try to remember who we are and what we believe.

Remembering the principles of Spiritism and with the use of prayer and strong faith, we can try to keep ourselves focused and more morally and spiritually centered. This way we can make better choices while here in the material world because we know about the serious consequences of these better than most.

There will always be difficult times and difficult days in our life. We always face disappointments, but we also receive many special blessings.

All that is asked is that we rise above our misfortunes.

Let life show you new ways of approaching old problems. Let it offer new discoveries.

Let the day unfold new possibilities, before you were aware of them; new dreams you never dreamt; and delight in the seeds of new ideas that you have never sown.

Let life moderate your convictions and show you everything that is hidden behind the scenes: the profound peace of the changing seasons, the majesty of what it means to have and be a friend, the joy that is found in understanding that it is never too late to start over.

Let life give plenty to your soul and your heart.

Let it sing in you, and show you how to aim for the stars.

Let it help you achieve everything you desire, so you can be all that you can be.

There is a very simple rule: The more [goodness] you give, the more you receive. And, the more you do it, the more you will enjoy doing it.

You are a wonderful person who deserves to have a beautiful life.

If difficulties come, I know you can rise above it.

What is necessary for success?

Attending/conducting over 35 years of mediumship sessions, we have found that many of the spirits returning to the spirit world of people we knew are brought for a brief spirit communication very shortly after their physical death (then we may not hear from them for a while, some never again), and it has been interesting to evaluate the condition of their spirit (in accordance with what we knew of that person's particular belief system), especially whether they believed in an afterlife.

Those who believed nothing existed after death, are usually confused. Some believe they are still "alive" in our world and there is no convincing them otherwise. Those who were more spiritual and/or had strong religious faith and/or a strong belief in God...tend to be calm with many aware they have “died.”

However, those who completely believed in an afterlife tend to be very calm, and most of the time they say they see their relatives who have already transitioned before them, and who have come to greet and take them after their spirit communication.

Keep in mind ALL spirits are given as much help by the good spirits (which is their loving duty) upon their return to the spirit world, but each spirit has a certain amount of freewill and all are at different levels of intellectual and moral development and have different belief systems which affect their condition on return.

Now, for those who absolutely knew about life after death and about mediumship, these communicate most fully, and are entirely cognizant of where they are and are happy to speak with us and tell us they are fine and of their circumstances. They are alert and relatively content; while before their physical body might have been tremendously ill or aged as to be many times unresponsive. They are communicative and tell how much they love us, and say that God-willing, they may be able to return to talk to us again.

These same (it could be a month or so, or months) come back again to ask for forgiveness to those they may have offended in their lifetime. It appears they go through a period of self-reflection about their behavior while in the material world.
Later on, they come to communicate about their own perceptions of the spirit world, give moral and/or personal advice, and come to say “hello” to family and friends...to those in attendance at the session. They ask for our prayers and tell us how grateful they are when we remember them. Much can be learned by these spirits’ communications by those in attendance at mediumship sessions.

Those who had difficult physical illnesses here in the material world may take awhile to communicate, also depending on their belief system.

This is only a very general summary. But, the more we know we are souls and there exists an afterlife, and, how important it is to be in conformance with the Divine laws, the better our transition and the type of condition our spirit will be, upon return to the afterlife.

Many take friends, parents, siblings, etc., etc. as an example for their behavior and when one of them falls, due to their imperfections, there is disappointment because they were someone who they admired. They have placed a person on a pedestal.
This often happens in different groups to which people attend, and some people who see something they like about someone; this creates an illusion of the person being better than they are, but they do not know their personal flaws.
They forget that we are ALL on the same planet earth which is characterized by tests and in making amends.
No one is better than another. We all have made [and still] make mistakes.
The superior spirits state that we should take Jesus of Nazareth as our moral example because he was the most perfect brother with his teachings and actions, and whom God sent to serve as a guide and model for us to use as an example in our own lives.

Fathers are very important. So say “thank you” to your father for the things he has done for you, and for things he has shown you and respect him.

If you are a father, make sure your children know you love them, make sure they know you are there for them and make sure you teach them everything you know; even if they don’t ask for advice or want it. Especially, give them the best possible example, in every way, of what a father is, so your children will know what a father (and/or husband) should be in this world.

If you are not a father, and you might happen into a circumstance where you can be an example to a child or a young one, such as an uncle, older cousin or even a close friend. You too can be an example to them and help them. If you see they have problems or need help, you can offer your assistance.

Everyone can use a father figure.

May God provide everyone a good summer; a break from work and school; some good times to spend with family and friends, and make sure you are safe when traveling.

However, do not forget family and friends that are sick, have disabilities or are elderly.

Remember they may not be able to do as much vacationing due to various reasons. They may have an injury, an infirmity, perhaps a mental condition. No matter what it is, try not to forget them or think they hold you back. Think of including them as you being a good family member, a good friend, or simply a good person.  Try not to leave them out. Try to help them feel loved and useful. Keep in touch with each other and pray for them. They wish they could be doing some of the things you might be doing this summer.

Inspirationally received by Julie L Harper

As a parent, you have been entrusted by the Creator to express caring and nurturing love for the well being, guidance, and growth of your children. Teach them by your good examples to awaken remembrance of, and to reinforce, innate knowledge of right from wrong.

Do not indulge in disappointment or self-condemnation when your adult child succumbs to error after doing your best in child rearing.

Before incarnation, each individual spiritually agreed to certain earthly trials and challenges for soul progression. Such circumstances exist in order to promote wisdom, growth and betterment; all occurring by acquired learning of spiritual truths from ordained experience(s).

We must also resist comparisons between children’s accomplishments and perceived shortcomings, for only God knows the meaning of each other’s footsteps. Compassion must replace judgment, for no one can know what it is like to walk in another person’s shoes; whether a child or a parent. And, all humans, still imperfect and in development, cannot truly judge others.

Each family member has been selectively brought together for the good of all, occurring by individual and shared experiences. Forgiveness and fellowship allow families to rise above the illusions of human error.

May each family member honor one and another through acceptance and love to maintain harmony within one's heart and within the home.
