A Spiritist meeting/session is a “collective being whose qualities and properties are the result of the totality of its members” as described in The Mediums’ Book, Chapter XXIX published by Allan Kardec. An Instructive Meeting provides research and study of Spiritism; its doctrine and instruction regarding its morality. Qualities of an Instructive Spiritist Meeting - A serious and concentrated mind - A perfect community of views and sentiments - Kindly feelings among the members - Abnegation of every sentiment contrary to charity - A general desire of the truth - Exclusion from the setting of everything of frivolity - Concentration of thought and desire in the pursuit of the common end and in the evocation of the spirits whose presence is desired - Cooperation of the mediums, with the disinterested desire to be useful, without vanity, ambition, or any other selfish motive
Written by Tobias
All that is asked is that we rise above our misfortunes.
Let the day unfold new possibilities, before you were aware of them; new dreams you never dreamt; and delight in the seeds of new ideas that you have never sown.
Let life moderate your convictions and show you everything that is hidden behind the scenes: the profound peace of the changing seasons, the majesty of what it means to have and be a friend, the joy that is found in understanding that it is never too late to start over.
Let life give plenty to your soul and your heart.
Let it help you achieve everything you desire, so you can be all that you can be.
There is a very simple rule: The more [goodness] you give, the more you receive. And, the more you do it, the more you will enjoy doing it.
SHORT AND POSITIVE STEPS...

ON A PEDASTAL
Many take friends, parents, siblings, etc., etc. as an example for their behavior and when one of them falls, due to their imperfections, there is disappointment because they were someone who they admired. They have placed a person on a pedestal.
This often happens in different groups to which people attend, and some people who see something they like about someone; this creates an illusion of the person being better than they are, but they do not know their personal flaws.
They forget that we are ALL on the same planet earth which is characterized by tests and in making amends.
No one is better than another. We all have made [and still] make mistakes.
The superior spirits state that we should take Jesus of Nazareth as our moral example because he was the most perfect brother with his teachings and actions, and whom God sent to serve as a guide and model for us to use as an example in our own lives.
